Annual General Meeting

The GVTA fiscal year runs April 1 to March 31. The annual general meeting (AGM) is typically held in May, and always within 60 days of the end of the fiscal year, consistent with the association bylaws. At every Annual General Meeting, the following business is transacted:

  • Reports are heard and received, including the report from the Board, the financial statements from the Treasurer, and any other reports and statements required by the Corporations Act;
  • A budget for the upcoming year is presented and put to a membership vote for approval;
  • Members of the board are confirmed and directors are elected where director positions are open;
  • Any other business properly brought before the meeting.
